The first ever Valve industry forum and expo has got off to a successful start in Russia. The first-of-its-kind forum was held at the Okolniki Exhibition and Convention Center in Moscow in November.
Such was the success of the first forum that another one is already being planned for next year. The second forum is scheduled to begin on 14th April next year and will run through until the 16th April 2014.
The main focus of the forum was the Business Programme, the first of its kind in this industry sector. The Business Programme is being considered a huge success in itself as it attracted more than 800 delegates.
37 different organisations gathered at the expo. Each organisation had its own stand with the aim of increasing its profile and reaching out to make more business contacts and growing their businesses.
The Scientific and Industrial Valve Manufacturing Association and Industrial Forum planned and organised the event; the Forum received support from organisations in the United States and Europe. Among the organisations that supported the event was the American Society for Testing and Materials International.
Also at the event was the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation
The success of the Forum comes ahead of the 9th Biennial Valve World Expo that is due to be held in Dusseldorf, Germany in 2014. The Expo gives a platform for companies to highlight their innovative products and also encourages manufacturers to create sustainable solutions. The next Expo will be held at the Dusseldorf Fairground; the target industries for the event include the oil and gas industry, mining, aerospace, biotechnology and the automotive industry.
Ahead of next year’s Expo, an online showroom has already been made available online so that those intending to go to the event can see the industry leaders that the Expo has already attracted. So far more than 200 companies have signed up for the fair in preparation to show all that is new and innovative in the industry.
Businesses attending the Expo find that it is vital to the growth of their business, helping them to attract new partnerships or tapping into the trade fair’s contact book, which is made freely available to companies in attendance at the industry Expo.
Tickets are already available online for the industry fair, which will be held in the summer of next year.
