America Valve Seminar a Huge Success

The Valve Basics Seminar, which was held by the Valve Manufacturers Association of America in early April, has been a huge success. The seminar was aimed at young people who might have limited experience in business, however, it was also opened to established manufacturers or professionals that specialise in one area but needed to learn an overview on the complete spectrum of valves in order to enhance their skills.

The seminar was also open to experienced employees who just needed a refresher course and new employees at valve manufactures who are new to the industry and wanted to learn more.

Almost 1,000 people attended the seminar and the course was divided into different lessons including an introduction to the industry. The people in attendance were also encouraged to get some hands-on experience of the valve industry through a unique “valve petting zoo” where attendees could literally get a feel for the some of the valves that they will have learned about during the seminar.

Exhibitors were also welcomed to the event, which was held at Hilton Airport in Kansas City at the start of April. The exhibition allowed companies that sell products or services to valve manufacturers to promote their companies, find new potential contacts, and network with other manufacturers.

Such was the success of the course, it was recently extended to be held over two days and additional lessons had been added. The seminar is held every year and another one is scheduled to be hosted at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas in October.

For those that were unable to attend the course in person, a new online version is now available. The new course allows up to ninety days for its competition and students can work in their own time to finish the course. The online training programme is open to individual users and groups so that they can learn more about the valve industry and improve their understanding of it.

The course is currently available as a beta version and is suitable for anyone new to the valve manufacturing industry and also for those more experienced.

People who complete the course will receive a qualification at the end of it and will also be entitled to six hours of continuing education.
